A 28-year-old woman recently set a new example of loyalty and bravery after saving her husband and children from a terrorist attack in Chilas.

Roshan Bibi, a resident of Amit village in the Ishkoman sub-division of Ghizer district in Gilgit-Baltistan, courageously shielded her family during a terrorist attack on a Chilas bus, absorbing bullets to ensure the safety of her husband and two children.

The victim, along with her husband Syed Ahmed Shah and her two children, a son aged around half a year old, and a four-year-old daughter, were traveling to Karachi in this ill-fated passenger bus on the evening of December 2 when it came under the attack.

Amidst the gunfire, Roshan Bibi placed her 2 children and husband on the floor, positioning herself above them to shelf them. Roshan Bibi received 6 bullets, while her children and husband remained unharmed.

After which she was shifted to Gilgit Hospital, where three bullets were removed from her body during the operation while the other 3 bullets were still in the victim's body.

It should be noted that nine people were killed and 26 people were injured in the tragic incident of firing on a bus in Chilas on December 2.
