PDMA releases maps of flood-affected Union Councils along major rivers

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released maps highlighting union councils (UCs) vulnerable to flooding along major rivers across Punjab and Sindh.

According to PDMA officials, the maps aim to assist district administrations in preparedness and timely response to flood risks.

The identified areas include UCs situated along the Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej, and Indus rivers, as well as those located up to the Guddu Barrage.

Authorities have urged local administrations and residents in the exposed UCs to remain vigilant, as heavy monsoon inflows continue to raise water levels in rivers.
