Sindh government spokesperson Nadir Nabeel Gabol has denied reports of cracks on Shahrah-e-Bhutto, assuring that no structural faults will be left on the project.

In a statement, he said the highway is still under construction, and a deliberate cut was made to allow water passage. “There is no cause for concern,” he asserted.

He further stated that an international firm is building the project and no negligence will be tolerated.

A proper drainage system will be installed on Shahrah-e-Bhutto, which is not yet open to the public.

The spokesperson also clarified that earlier reports of water accumulation on Mirza Adam Khan Road were addressed, and the road has been cleared.

He noted that the rising sea level had caused water to flow back into the Lyari River.

According to Gabol, 30 pumps have already been installed for water drainage, with more being deployed.

He added that while 100 millimeters of additional rainfall has been forecast, if no further downpour occurs, the M-9 Motorway will be cleared by the afternoon.
