Karachi: Three women’s throats slit in Bhittaiabad, uncle suspected in attack

In a shocking incident, three women were brutally murdered with a sharp-edged weapon inside a house located in Bhittaiabad under the jurisdiction of Malir Cantt police station on Wednesday.

Two other people were seriously injured in the attack and shifted to hospital for treatment.

The deceased women have been identified as Meena, Ayesha, and Dania. Their throats were reportedly slit.

Police reached the site soon after the incident was reported. An injured girl, identified as Nandini, was rescued from the house and moved to hospital. Another injured person, identified as Ajay, has also been hospitalised.

SSP Malir confirmed that Ajay is suspected to be the maternal uncle of the victims and allegedly attacked his nieces with a sharp instrument, leaving them dead.

The crime scene unit collected evidence from the spot, while police said investigations are underway to ascertain the motive behind the killings.
