Ayesha Omar, the familiar face from the beloved Pakistani sitcom "Bulbulay," known for her role as "Khoobsurat," recently revealed a fascinating revelation about the enduringly popular comedy series.

Spanning over hundreds of episodes with a consistent cast from its inception, Ayesha Omar portrayed the character of a wealthy wife married to the laid-back and excuse-prone 'Nabeel.' The storyline depicted their shared apartment life before eventually tying the knot.

Ayesha, a longtime cast member of the show, shared a surprising story about her early days, revealing that she nearly walked away after 26 episodes.

Shen disclosed that her mother strongly disapproved of her working in Bulbulay, seeing it as a waste of her quality education and hard work.

The ‘Habs’ actor said, “I tried a lot to quit because my mother hated the show…she would say you are doing such a pathetic show,” said Ayesha, when asked about her long stint Bulbulay in a recent interview

Upon hearing Ayesha's decision of leaving, Nabeel, her co-actor and producer, encouraged her to stick with the show, suggesting the show could eventually become a defining part of her career.

With Bulbulays phenomenal rise to fame, Nabeel's prediction proved true, and it even won over Ayesha's mother, who finally acknowledged her daughter's work.

The ‘Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat’ actor spoke of the deep bond forged within the Bulbulay team after fourteen years of working together, she revealed, “We’ve never had a written contract for Bulbulay. We work on word of mouth because we trust each other.”

“We trust each other to be there on shoot dates and receive timely payments, even without formal agreements,” she continued.

Ayesha acknowledged that Bulbulay's immense popularity  made her a household name across Pakistan, stating that she is instantly “recognisable to people of all ages and backgrounds, wherever I go.”
