Rajab Butt leaves Pakistan, won’t resume vlogging without mother’s permission

Renowned YouTuber Rajab Butt has left Pakistan and announced a temporary break from vlogging amid ongoing controversy and legal action against him for allegedly disrespecting Islamic figures in his content.

Although Butt did not disclose his exact location, he hinted at being abroad by mentioning both Dubai and Pakistan time during a recent TikTok live session. While he has paused vlogging, he confirmed that he will continue to appear live on TikTok.

This isn’t the first time Rajab Butt has left the country during controversy. In a previous episode, he stayed in Dubai for an extended period before traveling to London, eventually returning to Pakistan once the legal cases against him were closed.

In his recent TikTok live, Butt shared that he will not upload vlogs until his mother permits him to do so, saying she was deeply disturbed by the current situation.

He added that she personally dropped him off at the airport, prioritising his safety above all.

“I am not quitting vlogging, but I will do whatever God wills. My mother hasn’t allowed me to upload anything yet because she values her son’s safety above everything else,” he said.

Butt mentioned that he is waiting for the situation to settle before making a comeback to YouTube. However, he assured his followers that he will eventually release a vlog.

Addressing the controversy surrounding alleged disrespect toward a companion of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in one of his Muharram vlogs, Butt dismissed the backlash as an attempt by others to gain fame at his expense. He added that he has already recorded vlogs to explain his side of the story.
