Renowned actor Mariyam Nafees highlighted the waning outrage of people over Israel's genocide in Gaza, saying that people are no longer boycotting brands.

The actress took to Instagram to emphasise the importance of maintaining the same level of outrage that existed after the Israeli military offensive in Gaza began on October 7, 2023.

She argued that diminishing anger among people would benefit Israel, which already seeks to erase its brutality against Palestinians.

“Palestine is slowly being forgotten. We are giving up the boycott. DO NOT. That’s what they want you to do,” her post read.

She stressed the plight of Palestinian children who have been orphaned and mothers who are giving birth without proper medication, many of whom are dying as a result of relentless Israeli attacks.

Mariyam Nafees is vocal about the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and she frequently highlights the issue on her social media accounts.

The ongoing Israeli war on Gaza has taken a massive toll on Palestinian children with more than 14,000 killed and many unidentifiable due to the severe harm their bodies suffered.

A report by Save the Children from Gaza in June revealed, “At least 17,000 children are believed to be unaccompanied and separated, and approximately 4,000 children are likely missing under the rubble, with an unknown number also in mass graves."

The UN also reported discovering children’s bodies in mass graves, showing "signs of torture, summary executions, and even instances of people being buried alive."

The overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 40,939 with more than 93,534 wounded. Thousands more remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
