In light of past criticisms, Lollywood icon Meera prioritised her emotional well-being by maintaining distance from the entertainment industry and minimised her exposure to social media.

In a recent interview, when asked about the criticism and teasing often directed at her on social media, Meera responded, "It's challenging to please everyone. For me, it's an impossible task.”

The ‘Baaji’ actor explained that she encounters numerous negative comments but she remains unfazed, attributing it to her long history of facing and surmounting similar challenges throughout her life.

Discussing her coping mechanism with criticism, she said, "I don't watch TV, nor do I follow social media. I primarily live outside of Pakistan, in Dubai and America, particularly New York. None of my friends are Pakistani, and we never engage in discussions about social media or television. I don't watch films.”

Meera advised stepping away from negativity is the best way to unwind.

She stated that she finds the gym and travel to be effective tools in managing negativity.

The ‘Parey Hut Love’ star expressed her desire to contribute to Pakistani cinema and produce more films as she is "not entirely satisfied with her craft."

Previously, speaking on a TV show, Meera maintained that she is now committed to be more selective in her work.

The actress discussed her upcoming mega project which is the remake of the popular Bollywood classic movie 'Pakeezah’.

“I do selective work, which is why I have been privileged to be offered a role in the prestigious project, ‘Umrao Jaan Ada.’ While patience is important for landing such exceptional opportunities, I will do my best to avoid unnecessary publicity. You will, however, witness my performance soon enough. The masterpiece is penned by the renowned Pervaiz Kaleem, and will be aired on both the film and television screens,’ she stated.

‘Pakeezah,’ directed by Kamal Amrohi and starring Meena Kumari, is a timeless gem in Bollywood history. This 1972 masterpiece remains known for being one of the era's most costly productions.
