Controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar vowed to pursue justice in the honey-trapping case, seeking punishment for the suspects and promising to confront those who mocked his ordeal online.

Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore, Qamar stated, "It is necessary for these individuals to face consequences. Respect is granted by God, and I will not rest until the accused are punished."

Addressing the trolls who ridiculed him, he added, "Everyone who attempted to defame me will face consequences. Instead of sympathising with my ordeal, where I was forced to recite the Kalma three times and shots were fired, people disgrace others for a few coins."

"Women who are respectful and dignified are leading my society. They are my pride," he emphasised.

In a two-page verdict, ATC Judge Arshad Javed rejected the bail plea of Yasir Ali, one of the accused in the kidnapping and honey-trapping case.

According to the case details, Yasir Ali had attempted to extort money from the playwright.

Yasir Ali was identified during an identification parade, and his call records and communication data matched with Qamar's during the investigation.

As per sources, substantial criminal evidence against Yasir led to the rejection of his bail plea.

Advocates Mudassir Chaudhry and Zain Qureshi represented the accused in court.

The controversy emerged when an obscene video of the playwright was leaked on social media, following his alleged abduction by a gang after he met a woman at her residence late at night on July 15.

On July 21, Qamar had filed a complaint with the police, resulting in the arrest of Amina Arooj and other suspects.

The Meray Paas Tum Ho writer claimed that the woman had been trying to convince him to meet her for the past 15 days, and he eventually agreed to meet her at 4:40 am.

Qamar alleged that he was held at gunpoint and forced to record intimate scenes with a woman on camera.

However, the lawyer of Amina Urooj, who has been accused of honey-trapping and abducting Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, revealed that the writer blackmailed the woman and forced her to engage in a physical relationship with him as a condition for working on a project.
