Jemima Goldsmith, the ex-wife of Imran Khan, has called on netizens to report a fake account on the microblogging site X impersonating her son.

The fake X account was created in her son's name to back the PTI election campaign.

Jemima, who was married to Imran Khan about two decades ago, urged her followers by taking to the micro-blogging app X, she wrote, “Fake account. Please report.”

The fake account which is running in the name of Jemima's younger son Kassim Khan tweeted, “Hi everyone, General Elections will be held in Pakistan soon, so in these difficult circumstances, it is our right to convey Imran Khan's message to everyone and take full advantage of social media, so now I will use Twitter actively, need your support. #ImranKhanIsOurLeader.”

This isn't the first instance where Jemima Goldsmith has raised concerns about fake accounts exploiting the names of her sons, Suleman Khan and Kassim Khan, on social media, particularly on X.

She clarified that her sons are not present on Twitter or any other social media platform, at least not under their real names.

Many children of prominent Pakistani politicians, including Jemima's, refrain from being on social media to avoid trolling, especially on X.

Jemima also expressed her disappointment at being associated with an alleged "Operation Goldsmith" conducted by X users in Pakistan.

The recent trend accusing the Goldsmith family gained traction both in Pakistan and abroad.

However, the sources close to Jemima dismissed the allegations as ludicrous, emphasizing that the Goldsmith family has no involvement or interest in Pakistani politics.
