Speculation about another delay to Grand Theft Auto VI has resurfaced online, with social media posts claiming the game could be pushed back to 2027.

However, Rockstar Games has not announced any further changes to its release schedule and continues to list November 19, 2026, as the launch date.

The upcoming title was previously expected to release on May 26, 2026, before Rockstar confirmed a revised November window. Recent claims suggesting a 2027 release appear to be based on online speculation rather than official information.

Reports cited by outlets including The Sunday Guardian state that the developer remains committed to the 2026 timeline.

Rockstar has not publicly commented on the renewed rumours but has previously said it aims to deliver a polished and complete product. The company has a history of delaying major releases to allow additional development time, including Red Dead Redemption 2, which was postponed before its eventual release.

GTA VI is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, and will feature Vice City alongside surrounding regions.

The game introduces dual protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, marking the first time a female lead has been included in the main series.

Rockstar has said further details will be shared closer to release.
