The purchase of Iranian rials has increased significantly across Pakistan in the days following the peace agreement between Iran and the United States.
According to Malik Bostan, Chairman of the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, around 40 billion Iranian rials were purchased on the first day after the agreement was announced.
However, fresh reports indicate that total purchases have now reached 200 billion Iranian rials nationwide within four days of the agreement.
Bostan advised investors to exercise caution when investing in Iranian currency.
Meanwhile, both demand for the Iranian currency and its market value have continued to rise steadily, reflecting growing investor and public interest in the rial following the breakthrough in relations between Tehran and Washington.
