French President Emmanuel Macron has strongly rejected US President Donald Trump’s claim that Muslim immigrants are responsible for large-scale protests and riots in France, describing Trump’s remarks as “foolish.”

On October 19, US President Donald Trump made a controversial statement claiming that Paris would soon become a Muslim city. He warned that Europe would cease to exist if it failed to close its borders and deport criminals, including those participating in protests.

French President Emmanuel Macron firmly rejected Trump’s remarks, stating that they were not only completely inaccurate but also “foolish.”

Macron said that portraying the incidents in France as attacks by immigrants and Islamists was contrary to the facts. He accused US leaders of exploiting the situation in France to serve their own political objectives.

Speaking to the media, Macron said there was no clear evidence of foreign interference in the incidents in France, although misleading information had been circulated about the situation.

According to Macron, this disinformation had prompted several individuals, including foreign leaders, to make unacceptable and foolish statements.

He said some people were claiming that France had been attacked by hordes of immigrants and Islamists, describing the allegation as completely false.

When a journalist asked whether he was referring to Donald Trump, Macron replied that Trump was among those individuals.

Macron also criticized US leaders for using the events in France during their election campaigns.

He said that politicians campaigning on the other side of the Atlantic were exploiting France’s situation to advance their own political agendas.
