At least 13 Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Friday in a series of Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip as Israel continued violation of the ceasefire in place since October.
The Gaza Interior Ministry said that eight people, including two officers, two police assistants and four civilians, were killed when an Israeli strike hit a police vehicle in Khan Younis.
In a separate incident in northern Gaza, a woman and her two children were killed and six others wounded when homes near the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia were struck.
Earlier on Friday, two Palestinian police officers were killed and two others injured in an Israeli strike targeting a patrol near the Sheikh Radwan police station in Gaza City, the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry strongly condemned what it described as the “continued silence” of international organisations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, over what it called repeated attacks on civilian police personnel.
It argued that such strikes amount to “complicity that encourages further violations against a civilian body protected under international law,” adding that there is no justification for targeting police forces in Gaza, which it said provide essential services to residents.
Medical sources and witnesses said several of the strikes hit areas outside Israeli military deployment zones defined under the ceasefire agreement.
The latest attacks come amid ongoing allegations of violations of the ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025, following a war that reportedly killed more than 72,000 Palestinians and injured over 172,000, most of them women and children.
