According to reports from Gaza, Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip killed at least 13 people, including five children, on Thursday.
Mahmud Bassal, a spokeperson from the civil defence in Gaza, claimed that four people, three of them being children, were killed when a drone struck their tent housing in Southern Gaza.
While, in the northern part of Gaza, an 11-year-old girl was killed near the Jabalia refugee camp.
Another deadly strike on a school left one person dead. Furthermore, a drone attack near Khan Yunis in the south killed a man, Bassal added.
The intelligence agency of Hamas, reported that two more people, including a child, were killed in other attacks during the day.
Later that evening, an Israeli air strike hit a house in the eastern area of Gaza City, killing four more people under the rubble.
“The death toll has risen to 13 as a result of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip since this morning, in a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement,” Bassal told AFP.
On Friday, the Israeli military stated that it had carried out “precise strikes” against Hamas fighters and infrastructure in both southern and northern Gaza. They said that the action failed missile launch from the territory.
The military said the launch itself violated the ceasefire.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said Thursday’s strikes confirmed Israel’s violation of its ceasefire commitments.
According to Gaza’s health ministry, at least 425 Palestinians have been killed since the truce began, while Israel says three of its soldiers have died in the same period.
