NCCIA is a credible body, Rizwan should follow procedure: Younis Khan

Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has once again voiced support for Mohammad Rizwan, urging caution while discussing the case involving the wicketkeeper-batter.

Speaking on Geo News programme Score, Younis said he stood by Rizwan as a fellow cricketer but stressed that players should not consider themselves bigger than the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

“Rizwan should follow the process,” Younis said, adding that the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) was a credible institution.

Younis said neither he nor other cricketers were acting as lawyers for Rizwan and that they did not have complete information about the case. He added that the matter involving Rizwan had occurred during an official tour.

He said caution was needed in discussing the case until its outcome was known.

Younis also recalled facing a similar situation in the past, saying his own case had continued for four months.
