Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 82 runs in the second T20I in Rawalpindi on Sunday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Batting first after Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl, Pakistan posted a formidable 215-3 in their allotted 20 overs.
Maaz Sadaqat led the charge with a scintillating 96 off 51 balls, smashing six fours and seven sixes. Captain Sahibzada Farhan contributed 73 off 44 deliveries, including four fours and five sixes.
Fakhar Zaman scored 22, while Hasan Nawaz added 19 runs. For Sri Lanka, Eshan Malinga, Maheesh Theekshana and Dasun Shanaka claimed one wicket each.
Chasing a target of 216, Sri Lanka managed 133-7 in 20 overs, falling 82 runs short.
Maheesh Theekshana top-scored with 32, while Chamindu Wickramasinghe made 29 and Kamindu Mendis scored 23.
For Pakistan, Imran Randhawa took three wickets and Salman Mirza claimed two. Saim Ayub and Abrar Ahmed picked up one wicket apiece.
With the victory, Pakistan secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series ahead of the third and final match.
