Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has once again overlooked the National Stadium Karachi in its latest international schedule, confirming that Sri Lanka will play a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series in Rawalpindi from 11th to 15th November.

This will be Sri Lanka’s first bilateral ODI series in Pakistan since 2019, when they last visited for a three-match contest that Sarfaraz Ahmed’s men won 2-0, with the opening game in Karachi washed out due to rain.

Since then, Karachi has hosted limited fixtures, with Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad being preferred venues in recent years.

According to the PCB, the Sri Lanka ODIs will be followed by a T20I tri-series involving Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan from 17 to 29 November, with Lahore and Rawalpindi hosting all matches.

The announcement comes as part of a packed home season, which begins with South Africa’s tour of Pakistan. The Proteas will play two ICC World Test Championship matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi, followed by three T20Is and three ODIs at Rawalpindi, Lahore and Faisalabad between 12 October and 8 November.
