A cricket commentator made a light-hearted remark about a young fan’s banner during the ODI tri-series match between Sri Lanka and England in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
A young cricket fan was seen holding the banner, which read, “I sold my sister’s phone to get this seat.” Reacting to the message during the live broadcast, the commentator joked, “It must have been a cheap phone.”

The tri-series, featuring Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka, has attracted large crowds to the stadium. Rawalpindi hosted the opening three matches, including Thursday’s game between Sri Lanka and England.
Pakistan won both of its matches at the venue. In the opening match on October 18, Pakistan posted 305 runs and defeated Sri Lanka by 37 runs.
Pakistan then beat England by 87 runs on October 20. Batting first, Pakistan scored 302 for nine before bowling England out for 215 in 38.4 overs. Arafat Minhas starred with both bat and ball, taking six wickets for 40 runs and scoring 59.
The tournament will now move to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium for the remaining four matches, including the final.
Pakistan are scheduled to face England on October 25 and Sri Lanka on October 27. Sri Lanka will take on England on October 29, before the top two teams meet in the final on October 31.
