Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the judicial commission's report on the Mir Raza case will be implemented and anyone found negligent will be punished.
According to details, Sharjeel Inam Memon said the judicial commission's report was presented at the Sindh Cabinet meeting yesterday, where Chief Minister Sindh opened the report before all cabinet members.
He said the chief minister had formed a committee comprising three senior provincial ministers to conduct a detailed review of the report. The committee includes Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, Saeed Ghani, and Nasir Hussain Shah.
The committee will thoroughly examine the judicial commission's findings and brief the Sindh Cabinet.
Emphasizing the need for transparent investigations, Sharjeel Memon said the judicial commission's report would be carefully reviewed and fully implemented. Anyone found responsible for negligence in the case would face punishment, he added.
He made it clear that if any police officer had failed to investigate the case properly, they would also have to face the consequences. However, he said it would be unfair to hold the entire Sindh Police department responsible for the mistake of a single individual.
The provincial minister said Sindh Police had solved several major cases in the past. He claimed that no major tragedy or terrorist incident had occurred in Karachi without the perpetrators eventually being apprehended.
Clarifying the circumstances surrounding the Mir Raza case, Memon said there had been two conflicting theories. One suggested that Mir Raza had died by suicide, while the other maintained that it was a murder.
