Among those present were business leaders Rizwan Irfan and Minhaj Gulfam, along with other community members who gathered to pay their respects.
Following the funeral prayers, Ali Murtaza's body was taken for burial at Society Graveyard in Karachi.
Ali Murtaza was killed after armed assailants opened fire on his family's vehicle in Balochistan's Kech district, while the family was travelling through the area. Authorities are investigating the attack.
The family was travelling to Quetta when they were allegedly misdirected by Google Maps and reached the remote area in Dasht.
Officials said unidentified armed men opened fire on the vehicle after it entered the area. Two minor children accompanying the family remained unharmed.
