Karachi man filmed harassing woman during rain put behind bars

Police have arrested a man in Karachi’s Jamshed Town area after a video showing him harassing a woman during rainfall surfaced on social media. Police confirmed that the suspect has been identified as Hafiz Mohibullah, son of Shamsul Haq.
According to the spokesperson for the SSP East, the footage, recorded during recent rains, showed the suspect misbehaving with a woman walking along the road.
District East police launched an investigation and began searching for the culprit.
The suspect was later identified through the video and taken into custody.
A first information report (FIR) was lodged against him at Jamshed Quarters Police Station on the government’s complaint. Authorities added that sections related to sexual assault have been included in the FIR, and the accused will be presented before a court after interrogation.

A disturbing video surfaced from Karachi showing a man groping a woman while people struggled to make their way through knee-deep rainwater. The suspect’s face was clearly visible in the footage, which sparked outrage on social media.
Many users condemned the incident and criticised bystanders for failing to confront the harasser on the spot. Other demanded the immediate arrest of the suspect and strict punishment.
The video showed flooded streets where vehicles had broken down and commuters were wading through the water when the man, standing with his motorcycle, took advantage of the chaos to harass the woman.
