Domestic worker assault case: Accused Noman breaks silence, gives his account

Noman, the man accused of brutally assaulting a domestic worker, has released a video presenting his side of the story.

In the video posted on his social media account, Noman claimed that the incident was deliberately portrayed by his landlords, who allegedly wanted him to vacate the house so they could move to the upper portion following their son’s marriage.

According to Noman, the actual incident occurred on December 10, while the video that later went viral surfaced two to three days afterward. He said his wife and the landlord’s wife did not have a good relationship and frequently argued.

Noman further alleged that Yasmin, the landlord’s domestic worker, used to harass his wife and son. He claimed that he contacted Mukhtiyar, the landlord, to complain that the maid had beaten his wife and used abusive language, but was told that the maid would not be removed and that he could do whatever he wanted.

Noman’s wife also appeared in the video, stating that the viral clip was incomplete and selectively edited. She claimed that the maid initiated the violence and that only part of the incident was shared publicly.

She added that when Noman arrived, he saw the maid holding their son and went to speak to her, after which she allegedly attacked him. The couple said they later went to the police station, claiming Noman was injured after being struck with a mobile phone and was bleeding. However, they alleged that police refused to register a case, saying both sides were involved and that no case could be filed against a woman.

The couple also claimed they sought forgiveness, but the maid demanded money, which they said they were unable to pay.

Noman admitted his wrongdoing, stating that he publicly apologized and acknowledged his mistake. His wife further alleged that they have since been receiving threats from the maid and that their son is also being harassed.

However, the couple has requested everyone to help them and not trust one side of the story.
