Another young girl allegedly assaulted in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Peshawar’s child sexual abuse crisis deepens as another 10-year-old girl becomes the victim of an alleged gang rape by three neighbours, leaving her in critical condition.

According to Chamkani police, the girl’s father, a resident of Budhai, reported that his daughter had remained unconscious for several days.

Upon regaining consciousness, the child disclosed that three neighbours, identified as Ismail, Ibrahim and Hamza, had allegedly taken her to an under-construction quarter against her will and sexually assaulted her. Her condition subsequently deteriorated.

The victim was shifted to a hospital for a medical examination, with the report still awaited.

Police have registered a case against the three accused under the Child Protection Act and Sections 375-A and 53 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Efforts to arrest the suspects are ongoing.
