Apple Inc is set to launch its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series today (September 9), comprising four models: iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max.

These devices are powered by Apple Intelligence, also known as Generative Artificial Intelligence. 

The entry-level iPhone 16 will start at $799, approximately Rs223,000, while the iPhone 16 Plus will be priced at $899, around Rs251,000. 

The iPhone 16 Pro will begin at $1,099, equivalent to Rs307,000, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will start at $1,199, about Rs353,000. 

However, Pakistani customers should be prepared to pay more due to customs duties and additional taxes.

The prices mentioned above are for the US market, but in Pakistan, the prices will be significantly higher due to taxes imposed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). 

The PTA tax on the iPhone 16 will be Rs107,325 with a passport and Rs130,708 with a CNIC. 

Similarly, the PTA tax on the iPhone 16 Plus will be Rs113,075 with a passport and Rs137,033 with a CNIC. 

The PTA tax on the iPhone 16 Pro will be Rs135,300 with a passport and Rs161,480 with a CNIC, while the PTA tax on the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be Rs148,500 with a passport and Rs176,000 with a CNIC. 

The price of the iPhone 16 series in Pakistan will start from Rs339,033, inclusive of tax.
