The Additional Sessions Judge approved the bail pleas of six accused in the Sanghar camel leg-chopping case.

The judge granted bail to Darya Khan Shar, Jaffer Butt, Abid Shar, Abdul Shakoor Shar, Gul Baig Lashari, and Rustam Shar, each against surety bonds of Rs 200,000. The suspects were ordered to be released on bail, with the hearing postponed to July 12.

According to the SSP Sanghar, Abdul Shakoor Shar and Abid Shar have confessed to their crime during the investigation.

A landlord in Sindh’s Sanghar district allegedly chopped off a camel’s leg as punishment for the animal scavenging in his field for fodder. The incident took place in Mund Jamrao village.

Soomer Khan, the camel's owner, reported the incident to the Sanghar press club, stating, "I have no enmity with anyone. I don’t know why this was done to my camel."

The incident garnered widespread attention after a video of the camel with its leg chopped off went viral on social media. This prompted Sanghar SSP to take notice and lodge an FIR against unknown persons under sections 429 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also took notice of the incident, with the injured camel set to receive an artificial leg and being shifted to Karachi for treatment.
