South Air on Thursday launched scheduled passenger services from Karachi, adding new domestic routes as it expands operations across Pakistan.

The airline's inaugural flights departed from Jinnah International Airport, with one service operating from Karachi to Quetta via Turbat and another from Karachi to Islamabad via Bahawalpur.

The launch marks South Air's entry into scheduled passenger operations and is expected to improve air links between Karachi and several regional destinations.

Initially, the airline will operate one flight a week on the Karachi-Turbat route and three weekly flights between Karachi and Bahawalpur.

South Air said it plans to further expand its domestic network by introducing flights from Karachi to Peshawar, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Gwadar in the coming months.
