Sindh govt launches auto CV creator on 'iWork for Sindh' platform

The Sindh government on Tuesday introduced an auto CV creator on its pilot employment platform, iWork for Sindh, to help jobseekers prepare and organise their professional profiles.

Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the new technology would enable candidates to present their professional profiles in a more organised manner and help young people apply for jobs more effectively.

He said that the provincial government was focusing on providing employment opportunities, skills development, vocational training and career guidance through the platform.

He said that 718 companies were currently registered on iWork for Sindh, with 21,233 active job vacancies available. More than 471,000 job applications had been submitted through the platform, he added.

Under the platform’s Learn and Earn programme, access to more than 1,800 internationally recognised short courses was being provided. So far, more than 4,470 candidates had completed the courses, while over 5,225 candidates were currently enrolled, Memon said.

He said the Sindh government’s next target was to transform I Work for Sindh into a more advanced and intelligent digital employment platform. An AI-powered Career and Job Assistance Agent was also being developed, which would help candidates search and filter jobs, provide career guidance and offer other digital assistance, he added.

Memon said an Auto Job Integration System was also being developed to directly link job opportunities available in the public and private sectors with the platform.
