Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi urged people not to celebrate the crash of an Indian fighter jet, Tejas, during the Dubai Airshow, calling the incident unfortunate.

Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Afridi said in response to a journalist’s question about the crash: “Do not celebrate the death of your enemy; one day your loved ones may also die.” He added that the incident was unfortunate and should not have occurred.

An Indian HAL Tejas fighter jet crashed on Friday during a demonstration flight at the Dubai Air Show, according to initial reports.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) confirmed the pilot’s death and has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. The crash reportedly occurred at 2:10 pm local time.

Talking about cricket, Afridi said Pakistan has a lot of talent, the team is performing well, and he believes they will do well in the World Cup.

Commenting on the inclusion of two new teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he said it is a great development, as players who previously did not get opportunities will now have a chance to showcase their talent.
