Both leaders discussed the first round of technical-level talks held in Burgenstock. They noted that maintaining positive momentum was important for the success of ongoing negotiations. They also agreed that the process should be protected from those opposing it.
The Qatari Emir expressed condolences over the death of a Pakistani citizen in a fire incident at the Barzan gas facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
The prime minister appreciated Qatar’s concern and praised the country for hosting a large Pakistani community, which now exceeds 300,000 people.
