Punjab plans to build 127 luxury houses for government officers in Lahore's DHA

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz-led government has reportedly approved a plan to launch a new Government Officers Residences (GOR) project in Lahore. 

According to sources, almost 127 luxury houses will be built for public officers in the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) area of the provincial capital.

The Punjab Board of Revenue has sent a summary to CM house, seeking the provincial head's approval for the plan, sources said.

Sources further said that the cost for each luxury house, which would be built on one kanal land, in the upscale residential area would be around Rs350 million.

However, the overall budget for the project was not disclosed by the sources.

As per reports, the new GOR project aims to pave the way for talented individuals to join the public sector and serve the province.
