The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday made an early warning forecast, saying that the morning and evening temperatures in Karachi are expected to increase from Wednesday.

As per the PMD, the minimum temperature is expected to remain between 11 and 13 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may remain between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius. Winds from various directions are expected to blow in the next three days.

The PMD said that sea breezes are also expected to become temporarily active from Wednesday evening. On Thursday, the weather in the city is expected to remain partly cloudy.

In other districts of the province, the weather is expected to remain cold to very cold, the PMD said.

On the other hand, Cloudy weather with intermittent rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with snowfall in hilly areas, is expected in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, northeast Punjab, and northeast Balochistan in the next 12 hours.

Cold and dry weather is expected in other areas of the country.

The temperatures in major cities on Tuesday morning were recorded as: Islamabad and Peshawar 10°C, Lahore 12°C, Karachi 14°C, Quetta -1°C, Murree and Gilgit 2°C, and Muzaffarabad 4°C.
