As the elections draw near, the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) launched its long-awaited manifesto on Saturday in a ceremony attended by party heavyweights, including Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The party introduced its manifesto with the slogan ‘Pakistan Ko Nawaz Do’.

The Chairman of the Manifesto Committee, Senator Irfan Siddiqui,  mentioned that the manifesto was crafted by 30 committees and includes promises that the PML-N is fully capable of fulfilling.

He maintained that party supremo Nawaz Sharif has explicitly directed party members to refrain from "showing false dreams in the manifesto."

“People must see which political party fulfilled promises made in its manifesto. Everyone presents the manifesto, but some act upon it,” he added.

PML-N unveiled its manifesto just two weeks before the elections, a response to criticisms from rival party PPP, which accused it of relying on an outdated manifesto.

Within the unveiled manifesto, the party advocates for the devolution of powers to local governments.

This marks the party's fourth bid for power, having previously been elected in 1990, 1997, and 2018, and now aspiring to regain control at the federal level.
