Pakistan on Tuesday condemned reports of an attack targeting the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling it a serious threat to peace and stability.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that such act was especially concerning at a time when efforts for peace were ongoing. “Such a heinous act constitutes a grave threat to peace, security, and stability, particularly at a time when efforts aimed at peace are underway,” he said.
The prime minister expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with President Putin as well as the government and people of Russia. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance against violence, saying the country firmly rejects “all forms of violence and acts intended to undermine security and threaten peace.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Moscow’s allegations that Kyiv was behind an attack on a residence linked to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed on Monday that the property in the Novgorod region of northwestern Russia was targeted using 91 long-range strike drones. Zelenskyy, however, rejected the accusation, denying any Ukrainian involvement in the reported incident.
