Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned Israel’s reported plans to forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government instructed residents of Gaza City to move south.

In a statement, the Foreign Office described the move as a violation of international law and an attempt to undermine peace efforts in the region. It said that forced displacement and settlement expansion reflected Israel’s disregard for human rights and humanitarian law.

“Such actions are a clear violation of international law and a deliberate attempt to sabotage efforts for achieving peace and stability in the region,” the statement read.

The ministry also urged the international community to hold Israel accountable, highlighting that restrictions on humanitarian aid had worsened hunger and malnutrition among Gaza’s civilian population, particularly children. Pakistan reaffirmed its “unwavering support” for the Palestinian people’s struggle for self-determination and their right to a sovereign state based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the capital.

Pakistan’s position follows similar condemnations by other Muslim countries. Egypt has rejected any relocation of Palestinians toward its Rafah border, while Saudi Arabia issued a statement denouncing displacement plans and extending support to Cairo.
