The Pakistan Army shot down an Indian surveillance drone that violated Pakistani airspace in the Chhamb sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), military officials confirmed.
The drone, reportedly equipped with advanced surveillance technology, attempted to gather intelligence along the Line of Control (LoC) but was swiftly detected and neutralized by alert Pakistani troops.
In a strong statement, the Pakistan Army warned against future provocations, asserting that “every act of aggression will be met with a befitting response. Our borders will be defended at all costs.”
The incident marks another flare-up in the already strained relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, who frequently trade accusations of ceasefire violations and cross-border espionage.
Indian authorities have not issued a response yet.
Meanwhile, Pakistan reiterated its resolve to defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty against any unauthorized incursions.
