Pakistan among world’s top three Crypto-adopting countries, says Bilal Bin Saqib

Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA) Bilal Bin Saqib, has said that Pakistan ranks among the world’s top three countries in terms of crypto adoption.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Bilal Bin Saqib said that for the first time in the country’s history, a regulated, transparent, and internationally compliant pathway has been opened for global crypto exchanges.

He described the move as a reflection of a new mindset and a major institutional shift.

He said that the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to Binance and HTX represents a practical step toward this new approach.

According to him, leading global financial hubs follow similar phased models, and Pakistan must take timely and well-considered decisions in line with the global financial system.

The prime minister’s aide stressed that without a legal and regulated framework, potential cannot be fully utilized.

He noted that between 30 to 40 million Pakistanis are already using digital assets, while the global bond market—worth around $100 trillion—is steadily moving toward digital rails. He added that the framework is not limited to trading alone but will also benefit multiple industries.

Bilal Bin Saqib further said that Pakistan is among the first three countries globally to adopt crypto at scale.

He added that the country has immense potential in digital asset adoption and expressed confidence that Pakistan will strengthen its technological sovereignty over the next decade through innovation and technology-driven reforms.
