The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt have welcomed steps taken by Hamas in response to US President Donald Trump’s proposal aimed at ending the war in Gaza, releasing all hostages, and initiating talks on implementing the plan, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said in a statement on Sunday.
“The Foreign Ministers also welcomed President Trump’s call on Israel to immediately stop the bombing and to begin implementation of the exchange agreement,” the statement said, adding that they appreciated his commitment to promoting peace in the region.
They described these developments as “a real opportunity” to achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire and to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The ministers also welcomed Hamas’s announcement expressing readiness to hand over Gaza’s administration to a transitional Palestinian Administrative Committee composed of independent technocrats. They emphasised the need for swift negotiations to finalize mechanisms for the plan’s implementation and address all related aspects.

Reaffirming their joint commitment, the eight nations pledged to support efforts for an immediate end to the conflict, ensure unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid, and prevent the displacement of Palestinians.
They further called for measures to protect civilians, secure the release of hostages, and enable the Palestinian Authority’s return to Gaza, uniting the territory with the West Bank.
The ministers also underlined the importance of establishing a security framework that guarantees safety for all sides, ensures Israel’s full withdrawal, supports Gaza’s reconstruction, and paves the way toward a just peace based on the two-state solution.
