Two vehicles belonging to former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have been vandalised in London, with their windows smashed and glass panels reportedly removed and stolen by unidentified individuals.

A spokesperson for the Sharif family confirmed that the incident took place two days ago, describing it as the third such incident involving Nawaz Sharif’s vehicles in the British capital.

According to information shared, the Metropolitan Police have obtained CCTV footage showing two masked young men removing glass from the vehicles. The footage is expected to help investigators identify those involved in the damage and theft.

The suspects’ identities and motives remain unknown, and no arrests have been confirmed.

The incident has renewed concerns about the security of vehicles associated with the former prime minister and his family during their stays in London.

The Sharif family has been involved in several security-related incidents in the city over the years.

In July 2018, protesters attempted to enter the family’s Avenfield residence in central London, prompting police intervention. Clashes between rival political supporters also led to arrests.

In May 2021, four unidentified men, three of them wearing masks, reportedly attempted to enter the London office of Nawaz Sharif’s son Hassan Nawaz while the former prime minister was present. The incident was reported to police, while PML-N leaders alleged that the men intended to attack Sharif.

Another confrontation occurred outside Sharif’s London office in April 2022, when security personnel intervened during an encounter with protesters. A security guard was injured, and police confirmed receiving a complaint of assault.

In May 2023, Sharif’s vehicle was damaged during a confrontation between Black Lives Matter protesters and police in central London.

A protester reportedly threw coffee at the car and kicked it. Subsequent reports clarified that Sharif had not been specifically targeted, despite initial claims circulating on social media.

In January 2025, it was reported that British police had warned members of the Sharif family about a possible violent attack following intelligence received by authorities.

The latest incident occurred during Nawaz Sharif’s current visit to London, where he has been staying at the family’s Avenfield Apartments and attending medical appointments.

Although the family has described the latest incident as the third involving Sharif’s vehicles, details of the two earlier incidents included in that count have not been independently verified.

Police have reportedly secured CCTV footage as part of their investigation, but the identities of the suspects and any arrests remain unconfirmed.
