The unparalleled services of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, from her active role in the Pakistan Movement to her efforts in the country’s early development, earned her the honored title of Madar-e-Millat (Mother of the Nation). Born on July 31, 1893, in the Indian state of Gujarat, she earned a degree in dentistry from Calcutta University.

Inspired by the political struggle of her elder brother, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, she joined the freedom movement and soon became an outspoken critic of British colonial rule.

Her fearless speeches and unshakable stance against imperialism earned her immense admiration.

Following the creation of Pakistan, Fatima Jinnah played a vital role in nation-building. She oversaw the resettlement of refugees and contributed crucial to policy matters, including foreign affairs.
