The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday predicted that Karachi will continue to experience hot and dry weather over the next 24 hours, although nighttime temperatures are expected to decrease.

According to the Met Office, winds have shifted direction and are now blowing from the northeast, signalling the beginning of a pre-winter pattern in the city’s weather.

Meteorologists recorded a minimum temperature of 24.3°C in the morning, while the maximum is expected to reach around 35°C during the day. The humidity level has been recorded at 78%.

The PMD noted that Karachi has been experiencing cooler nights in recent days, marking a gradual transition towards milder weather. However, experts said there is little to no chance of rainfall in October and November.

Earlier this month, on October 6, heavy showers were reported in several parts of Karachi, including Buffer Zone, Baldia Town, North Karachi, and Nazimabad. The downpour had briefly brought relief from the city’s hot and humid conditions, followed by cool breezes.
