The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a rise in temperatures in Karachi from Monday.
The city is currently partly cloudy, with south-westerly winds blowing at 10 to 20 kilometres per hour, the department said.
High air pressure is expected to affect the speed of sea breezes, contributing to the warmer conditions. Maximum temperatures from Monday could reach between 36C and 38C.
The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy over the next two to three days. Temperatures are then forecast to return to levels normal for October within a few days.
Separately, the department said a new western weather system will affect the upper and northern parts of the country from 12 October. Rain is possible in several areas of Balochistan as a result.
