Lahore receives heavy rain, hailstorm

Punjab cities including Lahore city witnessed stormy rains as torrential rains lashed parts of the country since evening.
The provincial capital witnessed intense heat throughout the day but since evening rainy clouds lashed parts of the city including hailstorms in parts of the city.
Intense rain could be seen in the video being widely shared on social media.

More rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Friday night and the next 2-3 days.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over western and upper parts of the country and will likely persist in upper parts during the next two to three days.
Landslides are also likely in Murree and Galyat from 27th to 29th April. Windstorms/hailstorms and lightning may affect human lives, standing crops, and loose structures like electric poles and solar panels.
