The Meteorological Department has predicted that dry and cool winds are expected to continue blowing in the port city over the next 24 hours, with the minimum temperature likely to remain between 14°C and 16°C.
Today’s maximum temperature is expected to stay between 26°C and 28°C, bringing mild warmth during the day. However, the gusty, dry winds are likely to lower humidity levels, making the weather feel cooler than usual outdoors.
According to meteorologists, this cool spell is normal for Karachi during this season. They recommend that residents be prepared for noticeably colder evenings, as temperatures are expected to dip significantly after sunset in many areas of the city.
These winds, combined with reduced humidity, are likely to keep the atmosphere dry both during the day and throughout the night.
Health specialists warn that the persistent dry cold is contributing to a surge in seasonal illnesses. People suffering from flu, chest congestion, throat discomfort, and asthma are experiencing heightened symptoms this week.
