The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said that Karachi is currently experiencing cold and dry weather, but the city’s winter is expected to set in from mid-December.

According to the Met Office, daytime temperatures will remain relatively warm over the next few days, while nights will feel cool. From mid-December onwards, both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to drop noticeably.

On Sunday, the minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 16°C, while the maximum is expected to reach 32°C. Humidity levels in the city stand at 75 percent, with light, dry winds blowing from the northeast.

Meanwhile, air quality in Karachi has deteriorated to hazardous levels, according to the Air Quality Index. Particulate matter in the city’s air was recorded at 227, posing serious health risks.
