K-Electric on Wednesday announced that the power company would not resort to temporary load management in Karachi following the restoration of regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) supplies, saying power generation at its Bin Qasim Power Station (BQPS-III) has stabilised.

According to a K-Electric spokesperson, the restoration of RLNG supplies has improved electricity availability across the city. However, scheduled load-shedding will continue in areas with high electricity theft and low bill recovery, the spokesperson said.

The utility said that its routine load-shedding schedule was available on its website for consumers.

K-Electric also thanked Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) and the relevant authorities for their cooperation, and expressed gratitude to consumers for their patience.

A few days ago, the power utility had announced temporary load management due to a reduction in RLNG supplies.
