Jordan’s King Abdullah II arrives in Islamabad on a two-day official visit

Jordan’s monarch, King Abdullah II, has arrived in Islamabad for a two-day official visit to Pakistan on Saturda.
Upon entering Pakistani airspace, Pakistan Air Force jets provided a security escort to the royal aircraft.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly received King Abdullah at Nur Khan Airbase.
Federal ministers, First Lady Asifa Bhutto-Zardari, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari were also present on the occasion.
King Abdullah is undertaking this two-day official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
From the airport, King Abdullah proceeded to the Prime Minister’s House, where a guard of honour was presented to him.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the visit reflects the decades-long brotherly ties between the two countries and will further strengthen the strategic direction of Pakistan–Jordan relations.
During the visit, King Abdullah will hold meetings with the President and the Prime Minister, and Pakistan’s highest civil award will be conferred upon him at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
