JI announces nationwide protests tomorrow against Gaza Flotilla interception

Jamaat-e-Islami has announced countrywide protests tomorrow against the attack on the Gaza Sumud Flotilla.

The party also declared that a major march will be held in Lahore on October 4 to condemn Israeli aggression.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, JI chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman alleged that the so-called peace agreement was designed solely to protect Israel.

He said Israeli terrorism has destroyed peace in the Middle East and that Israel has effectively been given a license to kill people, carry out bombings, and impose famine.

He further stated that the United States grants Israel a free hand in committing genocide. Referring to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s so-called peace plan, he said Palestinians were deliberately excluded from the process, while 20 points were included only to guarantee Israel’s security.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman stressed that Hamas is engaged in a legitimate struggle against foreign occupiers.

Meanwhile, JI Deputy Chief Liaqat Baloch demanded that the government present Trump’s Gaza peace plan before parliament and the national leadership.

He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has no authority to unilaterally endorse Trump’s controversial peace deal and must take parliament and political leadership into confidence over Pakistan’s Palestine policy.

Liaqat Baloch warned that any misstep on the Palestine issue could prove disastrous for the Kashmir cause.

He expressed concern over the situation in Azad Kashmir and urged the government to initiate dialogue with the public.

He also criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), calling their political rivalry a “staged drama” meant to deceive the people, and asserted that both parties are dependent on the hybrid system for survival.
