Gul plaza incident: Final probe report confirms 79 lost their lives

The Commissioner of Karachi, along with a committee led by an Additional IG, has completed the final investigation report on the Gul Plaza fire.
The report stated that 79 people lost their lives in the deadly fire.
The report will be submitted to the Chief Minister of Sindh.
According to sources, the report includes details on the causes of the fire, the firefighting efforts, and the rescue operations. Information collected from victims, eyewitnesses, and rescue officials has been incorporated.
The fire broke out at Gul Plaza at 10:15 pm, with the fire brigade receiving the alert at 10:26 pm. The first fire tender arrived within 11 minutes at 10:37 pm, while the Deputy Commissioner South reached the site at 10:30 pm. Rescue 1122 personnel arrived at 10:53 pm.
The fire started in a flower shop, accidently by a child, on the ground floor. It rapidly spread through the air-conditioning ducts.
The report states that 79 people lost their lives in the incident, with the majority of fatalities occurring on the mezzanine floor.
