Four terrorists killed as security forces foil attack on military camp in North Waziristan

Four terrorists have been killed after they attacked on the battalion headquarters of security forces in the Boya, North Waziristan.
The terrorists belonged to TTP. The attack was launched on Tuesday morning when one of the attackers, a suicide bomber, drove a vehicle full of explosives into the outer wall of the Boya fort, leading to a powerful blast that was heard till Miranshah, nearly 25 km away.
After the explosion, around four to five militants barged in the fort but were met with swift and effective resistance from security personnel. Three of whom were killed on the spot during the exchange of fire. The remaining militants have been surrounded and a clearance operation is underway. Only the outer wall of the battalion headquarters has been damaged in the attack.
Reports claim that four of the security personnel were injured in the clash.
Security forces have cleared off the area in a thorough clearance operation. Bomb disposal units examined the site for additional devices, while Rescue 1122 and medical teams carried out relief efforts.
Traffic on a nearby highway was temporarily halted and security across the district was heightened as a safety measure. The incident comes amid a broader increase in militant activity in Pakistan, investigation of the attack is ongoing.
